Planning is underway in the Hunter for this year’s International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO) on May 17. Events include a film festival, art exhibition, dance, poster blitz, bake sale, and comedy night.

The change of season is a good reminder to get a sexual health check. The clinic at ACON Hunter is on every Tuesday 3.30–6.30pm. The clinic is free and confidential, and no appointment is necessary. ACON, 129 Maitland Rd, Islington.
If you’re a young person on the Central Coast, you can access the Sexual Health Clinic at the Regional Youth Support Services (RYSS), Gosford Tuesday, March 27, 2–5pm.
GenQ (social support group for LGBT or questioning young people on the Central Coast) meets in Gosford every Tuesday from 2-5pm at RYSS, and in Wyong on the first Wednesday of the month at the San Remo Neighbourhood Centre.
GenQ and ACON Hunter will be at San Remo on the Central Coast on Sunday, April 15 for the GOATS Festival as part of this year’s Youth Week. Come along and get some info, get your picture taken, say hi and hang out with other young LGBT people.
