Paradise pickings
On the first Saturday of every month, Out ‘N Hastings gets together for a barbecue on the banks of the Camden Haven River. The event is held in Dunbogan across the road from Jubilee Hall. This is a family friendly event.
It’s BYO BBQ food and drinks from midday. Call Dianne for more details and her contact info can be found on the Out N Hastings website www.outnhastings.org.au. Out N Hastings caters for a large group of people, with varying budgets, interests, families, ideas and availabilities. Use the ‘contact us’ page on their website or email [email protected] with event ideas or suggestions especially if you would like to volunteer and help out.
Last year saw the inaugural Out ‘N Drag event at Port Macquarie and this attracted contestants from all over the state. The event will be hosted in Port Macquarie again in May 2013 and you can let them know you are interested by emailing Jacob at [email protected] with your contact details. The show was fantastic last year, the costumes amazing and the winner definitely knew their stuff.
Rainbow Coffs Harbour is looking for people to join them in the Mardi Gras parade next year and would like interested parties to contact them on their dedicated Facebook page. Help support your local LGBTQI social group to get a great parade entry for Mardi Gras next year.
If you are out and about at Christmas time or at end of year events it is paramount to play and stay safe. Gonorrhea rates are high at the moment, testing for STI’s regularly and using condoms is still the best way to have great sex and happy memories.
