Man wanted over sexual assault
Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy near a known beat at Yarra Flats in Eaglemont last month.
Police believe the boy was walking along the bike tracks in the Yarra Flats Park on Thursday, August 19 when the man approached him around 5.45pm.
The man led the teen to a secluded area off the bike track, where the boy was sexually assaulted.
The man police would like to speak to is described as aged between 50 to 60 years old, with a fair complexion and a weathered or wrinkly face, short grey curly hair with a bald patch, and bushy eyebrows.
He is of medium height and build and believed to have been wearing a blue jacket, brown pants and an old brown belt with a gold buckle.
Victoria Police Gay and Lesbian Advisory Unit manager Sergeant Scott Davis said investigators hope men in the area may have seen something and may be able to assist police with their inquiries.
People who contact Crime Stoppers can do so anonymously and still provide police with the information needed to make an arrest.
