VAC industrial action over
Workers at the Victorian AIDS Council (VAC) have called off industrial action after reaching an agreement with management that includes annual pay rises.The action began in June, with VAC workers holding work bans and stop work meetings. The workers were unhappy with various workplace issues, including pay rates.VAC workers will now vote on management’s revised offer.The Australian Services Union expects that members will overwhelmingly vote in favour of the new proposal assistant branch Secretary Lisa Heap said.The agreement is now based on the relevant Award but provides lots of additional benefits for our members, including annual pay increases.
