Parramatta Pride Picnic is back again this weekend
THE annual Parramatta Pride Picnic is back again this Sunday, gracing the foreshores of the Parramatta River for the second year in a row.
Hosted by western Sydney drag identity LayDee KinMee along with Portia Turbo, the 2015 edition of Parramatta Pride Picnic is expected to be the biggest one yet.

Highlights include the popular Doggywood pageant, hosted by Pandora Box, a drag race, a tug-o-war contest, and face painting for the children.
Often regarded as a “mini Mardi Gras Fair Day, Parramatta Pride Picnic was established to address the gap left by a lack of full-time venues serving the LGBTI community in western Sydney.
Last year, organisers received the official support of Parramatta City Council for the first time after the local LGBTI community’s stormy relationship with former mayor John Chedid in 2013.
