Break-in warning
A year after the bashing of Craig Gee and Shane Brennen, bashings and robberies on Crown St persist.
A 29-year old man was knocked to the ground by a blow to the back of his head and robbed of his phone while walking along the street at 5am on Sunday.
Surry Hills Police said the offender was described as 180cm tall, slim, short dark hair, clean shaven, Islander appearance, around 25-years-old, wearing a pink T-shirt, jeans and joggers. Two other men were seen in the company of the offender as he ran from the scene.
Police also warned Surry Hills residents of a rise in home robberies in recent weeks.
Incidents have mainly been occurring during business hours when people are at work, a police spokeswoman said.
