AFAO gets new head
Positive Life CEO Rob Lake will replace Don Baxter at the Executive Officer of the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO).
AFAO president Dr Graham Brown said Lake “is a well-known advocate for people living with HIV/AIDS and on behalf of the board and staff I welcome Rob to AFAO.”
Lake served as Positive Life NSW CEO for three years and has been involved in the fight against HIV in New Zealand and Australia since 1985.
“I’m leaving with regrets because Positive Life NSW is a fantastic organisation to work with. They are a strong advocate for people with HIV and will continue to be in the future,” he said.
Lake will take over from Baxter in June. Positive Life will begin the recruitment process for a new CEO from next week.
