Gay men learn how to maximise anal pleasure
Nearly 60 gay men learnt a lot more about “Maximising Anal Pleasure”, the first in a series of Gay Men’s Masterclasses hosted by Living Positive Victoria in Melbourne last week, featuring presentations and discussion on men and sex.
The class came about as part of funding to address the sexual transmission of Hepatitis C in the face of increased rates of transmission amongst men who have sex with men.
Guy Hussey from Living Positive Victoria saw this as a way to allow gay men to “own” the issue and contextualise it within gay men’s sexual practise, with information coming from peers and sex practitioners rather than health experts.
“At the last session we had two fisting practitioners come in and present about doucheing and present about arseplay,” Hussey told the Star Observer.
“That [douching information] is not not something that’s actually out there in the community’s vernacular…a lot of that is peer-based knowledge that’s been handed down over the years, and a lot of it, you have to be in the right network to get that sort of information.”
Hussey said participants at the first class were highly engaged, and the question and answer session had to wrap up with a number of questions unasked.
“Party ‘n’ Play”, a second class in the series looking at sex and drug use will take place on Wednesday, 7 August at 7pm. Visit gaymensmasterclasstwo.eventbrite.com.au to RSVP or call (03) 9863 8733.
