Shania’s life in print
Almost a decade has passed since Shania Twain’s last album hit shelves, but fans can console themselves by reading the diva’s soon-to-be-released autobiography.
From This Moment On covers the country music icon’s humble beginnings, her rise to fame and eventual superstardom.
It also touches on her divorce from husband Mutt Lange and reveals some of the reasons that have kept her out of the spotlight for nine long years.
“I’ve learned during my own climbs through life so far that you better be prepared for a few falls if you’re going to tackle a steep mountain, as mountains get thinner as you get higher, and so does the difference between fair and unfair, and one’s ability to see clearly while your head is in the clouds,” Shania reveals.
“The trick is to hold your head above the clouds in order to keep a cool mind and clear vision so you don’t lose sight of your goals.”
As well as being a master of rock climbing metaphors, the glamorous 45-year-old is also one of the most successful musicians of the past 20 years.
She remains the only artist to score three consecutive diamond (ie. 10 x platinum) accredited albums in the US and has sold more than 75 million records worldwide.
From This Moment On is due for release later this month.
