Jim Parsons wins Emmy
Openly gay actor Jim Parsons has won the Emmy Award for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Sheldon Cooper on ‘The Big Bang Theory’.
Parsons beat fellow nominees Alec Baldwin in ’30 Rock’, Jason Bateman for ‘Arrested Development’, Louis C.K. for ‘Louie’, Don Cheadle in ‘House of Lies’ and Matt LeBlanc in ‘Episodes’ for the award.
It’s Parson’s third Emmy win in the role, having won back-to-back Emmys in 2010 and 2011.
