Oh My smells a bit like deep space
IN a world of celebrity fragrance, it is any one’s guess who is next to release their first or fifth eau de toilette in the lead up to Christmas. The usual list of suspects include any one in the top of the pop charts from One Direction to Katy Perry or Britney Spears to reality stars like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.
What no one at the Star Observer expected was for a fragrance to come not quite straight, but straight from from the Starship Enterprise’s bridge.
Gay actor and activist George Takei, who is famous for his role as Sulu on Star Trek, is the latest celebrity to release his own fragrance, simply called Eau My a beautiful reference to his signature catch phrase “oh myyyy”.
The cologne is described as having the following laundry list of smells: mandarin zest, Italian bergamot, fresh ozone, night-blooming jasmine, white freesia petals, sensual woods, crystallised amber, soft skin musk, and vetiver.
Takei teased fans, asking them to guess the name of the new fragrance. His Facebook followers offered some interesting name suggestions, including “Old Space,” “Takei Me Now,” and “Red Shirt.” One fan gave his own early review: “Bet it smells a little fruity”.
However, according to the Amazon shopping website where Eau My is being sold, the cologne will be sold everywhere in the universe including deep space nine.
