The Bear Essentials

Harbour City Bears will celebrate the 14 years of Bear Essentials in 2010.

Coinciding with the Mardi Gras festival, the yearly event is Australia’s largest gay festival for Bears and Cubs.

Spread over 10 days, Bear Essentials is an opportunity for the Bear community from around the world to get to know each other and dabble in some fun.

Kicking off on Friday, February 26, the festival will return with some -˜old faithful’ events and an array of new activities -” yet to be announced.

Each year Harbour City Bears releases registration packs that allow entry to all regular events and speeds your entry over those who need to buy tickets at the door. Details on the types of registration packs on offer for Bear Essentials will be released in December.

In the meantime, you can take part in the Bear’s regular events at the Flinders Hotel on Friday nights and on Sunday afternoons for the membership draw.
