Search for missing cat
A Darlinghurst couple have sent out an urgent SOS after their cat was stolen from their home near Arq on Saturday morning.
Jeremy and Chris live in Sturt St at the rear of the nightclub.
“At around 5am on Saturday morning we let our part-ragdoll cat Mister out of the house. Arq security staff informed us that minutes later our cat was snatched by a man who was with a trans person,” Jeremy said.
“The club has confirmed that this man had earlier been ejected from the club. He is described as white or European, early 20s, around 5’6”, with dark hair and a beard and wearing jeans.
“The trans person he was with is a regular around Oxford St and lives near Taylor Square.”
Jeremy said the cat is an average sized two-year-old, about 5kg, with brown and beige tabby markings, large gold eyes and a white chin.
“We appreciate the efforts so far of Arq management in helping Surry Hills Police to identify these individuals and hope that members of the public may be able to shed some further light on his whereabouts,” Jeremy said.
“Perhaps someone saw these people holding a cat in Oxford St in the early hours of Saturday morning.”
info: If anyone saw anything or know who these people are they should contact Surry Hills Police on 9265 4144 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
I hope you both find your cute Moggy.
best of luck xxoo
