Leather fetish store to be sold
One of Australia’s iconic and largest leather stores, Eagle Leather, is up for sale. After 15 years of building a phenomenal business based in Melbourne and catering via their website to Australia and beyond, owner Brian Mier is reluctantly selling.
“I have taken many years to establish a loyal and passionate clientele and I thoroughly enjoy this industry. I have met many people worldwide and we have developed a brand that boasts the best of locally and internationally produced leather/fetish products, plus much more. We import from over 20 countries, endeavouring to keep our shelves stocked with the latest and best that is available worldwide,” Mier told Sydney Star Observer.
“Eagle Leather is not just leather. Our store caters to the whole fetish community with many accessories for people who are serious about exploring their fetishes as well as some great designer clothing and underwear that is not readily available anywhere else in Australia.
“It is with great reluctance that I put Eagle Leather up for sale but due to health reasons I have no choice.”
Mier has been involved in many competitions and has fostered many leather and fetish events. His job also involved travelling Australia as a guest of leather groups.
It is rare for a business such as Eagle Leather that is still growing to be put on the market. Overseas research revealed that similar companies are worth millions of dollars and are experiencing increased demand due to a leather resurgence. Many gay men in their 20s are also becoming actively involved in the leather fraternity.
Eagle Leather has a highly trained sales team and a sophisticated website sales procedure, making it a unique opportunity for a motivated buyer. Mier was reluctant to disclose a selling price but indicated he was open to offers of less than $1,000,000 due to the urgent nature of the sale because of his health. The business boasts a huge stock and a turnover of nearly $700,000 a year with good margins.
Mier said he will continue his safe sex and leather fraternity education and will travel throughout Australia and overseas after the sale. He can be contacted via email [email protected]
Well, I hope he is ok and regains his health. Less than a mil for a store like that is a bargain.
very boring these days and the staff have ‘attitude’!
