Laird heats up for leather/fetish fair
The Laird Hotel in association with JOY 94.9 and the VAC/GMHC David Williams Fund will hold the inaugural Northside Bizarre this weekend.
The event consists of several fundraising efforts and will see The Laird open its doors to both men and women for the good cause.
Running from 3pm until midnight, this will be the first event in the Laird’s annual ‘A Week Of Leather’ (AWOL).
A leather/fetish market for men and women with excess gear they wish to sell will be the day’s first activity, with a percentage of the sale price benefiting both organisations.
An on-the-hour auction (4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm) will follow, with holidays in Cairns, hotel vouchers, dinners and gym memberships up for bidding. This is followed by a final performance/auction at 7.30-8pm.
Melbourne’s leading leather/fetish retailers will have models on-hand to exhibit fetish gear and all money raised from the auction and associated activities will benefit both JOY 94.9 and the David Williams Fund.
During the afternoon and early evening, JOY 94.9 presenters will host a gold-coin BBQ and sell raffle tickets. Drag diva Dolly Diamond will MC the event.
The Northside Bizarre will be held at the Laird Hotel this Sunday, August 7 from 3pm.
