Heaven’s prays answered?

Indeed it seems that Heaven is coming up roses now that we have found a new venue.

Ha! Please. Why would it ever be that simple in Western Sydney? Now that we have found a new venue, some queers want to whinge about where we are moving -“ The Parramatta Golf Club.

Apparently no-one wants to be rubbing shoulders with an intoxicated butch dyke in a singlet according to one patron, who believes the Parramatta Golf Club is a mistake, because it is already inhabited by Dolphins -“ an all girl night.

Well who agrees?

It seems not so many -“ thank God! Most of us remember that the Parramatta Golf Club was home to Castaways -“ an all-inclusive gay night long before it was just all girls! But it still baffles me, that in a minority such as the GLBT community out west -“ we just can’t all get along.

The girls support their night, now it’s time for the rest of the queer and queer friendly community to come out and support their night -“ Heaven. Because if they don’t, it’s gone! Indeed. Gone.

And for anyone who would like to help financially support the night like Tim from Acacia’s Catering, then we would love a helping hand, as the new move comes with higher function fees. Sigh.

Apart from the clearly controversial decision to move to the Parramatta Golf Club and higher running costs, all else is going well. We have some FRESH ideas for the night, plus we are taking on board all of our partons feedback from the previous months surveys. The club (despite it’s lesbian partons) is a truly gay male friendly club with only the staff being-¦ straight. The shows will be fun and camp, with some great special guests! We launch on Saturday, January 31st 2009 and it’s sure to be a blast.

Make no mistake. We will be going all out before we ever look at blowing the candles out.

In other news out west -“ Jupiter’s Night Club continues to saunter along on the first Wednesday of every month. The patrons out Richmond way are really supportive, and they help provide a safe environment for up coming drag queens to perform. Cheers to the lovely ladies who run the club and support the GLBT community out in the greater west.

Also coming up on Friday October 31st is the Halloween – Out West Dance Party. Held at the Sweeny’s Function Centre in Ingleburn -“ it’s bound to be an entertaining night with Lola, Melicious and I dressed as witches! I’ll also give a prize to the best dressed -“ *wink* – but don’t blame me if you don’t want it. AND don’t forget the twink! Dan Knight will be performing to. Skinny bastard!

Queer Out West has had a turbulent month with poor Paul and Gracie suffering from syphilis… sorry the flu. But through all the coughing and spluttering we still managed to entertain. We love our listeners -“ especially Frank, even though he ignored me on MSN when I tried to pick him up. So tune in Monday nights for all the fun and frivolity that western Sydney has to offer.

It’s time again when Gracie and Paul head over to Asia-¦ What will she have done this time? Another breast augmentation!? They are brave to leave me in charge of the radio show again.

Speaking of nip and tuck, has any one seen Penny Clifford? My lord, she looks 21 again. A born again virgin. God bless Bangkok.
