GH reopens to capacity crowd
The GH’s grand reopening on Saturday night saw close to 1000 people through the door to have a drink and a dance at the refurbished venue.
Despite some lengthy queues for the cloakroom the night was a huge success, culminating in a sumptuous Arabian Nights-themed closing number from some of the scene’s most talented performers, who pulled out every stop to cap off a fantastic event.
There was also a touching tribute to the late Vivien St James, a former GH stalwart and much-missed community figure.

LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
