Tina Arena announced for Mardi Gras Party
EXCITEMENT for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is building after it was announced today that Tina Arena would perform at the official Party.
It won’t be first time that Arena has graced the Party stage, having previously performed in both the 2005 and 2009 Mardi Gras parties.
In a career that spans across three decades, Arena has sold over eight million recordings worldwide and her discography includes five top 10 studio albums on the ARIA chart – two of which were number one.
“I’m really excited to let you all know that I will be performing at the one and only Mardi Gras Party,” Arena said.
Her song Don’t Hide, from her most recent album Reset, is also the official Mardi Gras 2014 anthem.
Joining these international Aussie performers is a line-up of DJs such as New York’s Kim Ann Foxman, Chicago’s Derrick Carter – one of the world’s most respected house DJs – as well as a diverse list of Australian DJs.

International visitors are already disgusted with the lack of talent on the stage for Mardi Gras when in London you pay only 20 pounds at Pride time to see a world famous performer. Lift your game before you finally go bust altogether!
She closed out 2005 and literally killed the vibe with a depressingly slow and morbid final closing number! Mardi Gras has really reached an all time low. Where are the top international acts that people now pay top dollar to see?

Surely Mardi Gras could have found someone new for us or how about doing something incredible like “discover a new LGBTI talent”.
Come on Mardi Gras, pick up your game before you become as relevant as Tina Arena.
