Vic election ‘too close to call’

Victoria appears to be heading towards a hung parliament, or a Coalition government, with preferences and pre-poll votes now likely to come into play to decide a winner.

Neither side is yet claiming an outright 45-seat majority win in today’s state election.

The ABC  is reporting a sweeping 6 percent swing against Labor across the state.

Sitting Labor MP for Prahran Tony Lupton has lost his seat to Liberal Clem Newton-Brown with a significant swing.

Sitting Labor MPs Richard Wynne and Bronwyn Pike appear to have held their seats in Richmond and Melbourne respectively.
