Lesbian couple’s family photo goes viral on social media
A LESBIAN couple’s family photo has gone viral after a Brazilian LGBT group re-posted their Instagram photo on Facebook.
Surpassing 160,000 “likes”, the photo (scroll down for original Instagram post) shows Melanie and Vanessa Iris Roy standing side by side in a collage. The image has also been featured in newspapers and magazines around the world.
The first photo shows Vanessa pregnant with the couple’s first baby Jax in January 2014, while the second reveals Melanie carrying their daughter Ero in January this year as Jax sits playfully at the front.
Captioned Trading Places, the family photo took two years and two babies to create, and thousands of people have shared the photo on social media this week, including Hollywood actress Zooey Deschanel.
With the picture going viral, a surprised Melanie posted an Instagram message today thanking the world for the support the family received:
